Hackle gauge is a must have tool for matching hackle and fish hook size. Hackle+gauge fits thompson cobra vice stem so that it is always there when you need it. Hackle+guage easily swings out of the way when you don't want it. To determine hackle size, simply bend the hackle guage around the pin at the bottom of the gauge. The Hackle-gauge will flare out and the tips will indicate on the curved graph the correct size hackle. To determine fishing hook sizes imply place the hook on the hooks pictured on the hackle-guage.
